Every Classic MacOS Release, Emulated in Your Browser. Seriously.
InfiniteMac.org provides ready-to-run versions of every MacOS, from 1.0 through 9.x.
Last year, we talked about the Infinite Mac project — which, at the time, had created websites that could run full versions of MacOS 8 and MacOS 7. Emulated right in your browser.
Very cool.
Well now the creator, Mihai Parparita, has upped his game considerably by launching InfiniteMac.org — a single website that can emulate nearly every single release of the classic MacOS. From the first release in 1984… all the way up to MacOS 9.0.4 in the year 2000.
Ok. Technically, he is missing a few. But he has all the big ones in there (and most of the mall releases too). I mean, just look at that grid. Darned impressive.
Mihai details how he has accomplished this awesome feat over on his blog. A post that is definitely worth reading.
Then head over to InfiniteMac.org and test drive a few Mac systems you haven’t tried before. It’s worth it.
