Nerdy Cross Stitch - MS DOS
The classic MS-DOS logo. In thread and fabric. With the full pattern. Because... why not?
It's nerdy craft time! Let’s take the MS-DOS logo, and make a Cross Stitch pattern out of it!
Cross Stitch is a whole heck of a lot like pixel art. Except, when you’re done, you’ll have an actual piece of fabric with your image on it. Would look killer in a small frame.
It's a fairly small pattern (only 78x78), which makes it great for including within other projects, and uses 11 different colors of thread.
On the images that follow, you'll find the complete pattern along with a shopping list of the exact colors of threads you'll want to pick up (and how much you'll need of each color).
In the end, you'll have a fabric version of the MS-DOS logo. Lookin' all pixel-y.
Even the most die-hard Linux or Mac user can enjoy that sort of nerdiness!
Without further ado… the shopping list! You’ll also want a fabric to stitch this onto. I recommend a color that is not black (as this pattern has a faint black outline). Any light color (or white) should do nicely. And, since it’s only 78x78, the fabric doesn’t need to be big.
What follows is the pattern broken up into two images (to make it easier to print, in case you want it on standard paper).
