LundukeFest final schedule announced!
Linux Sucks, Retro Computing, and so much more. January 29th is going to be a very, very nerdy day.
Super psyched to announce the final schedule for the first-ever LundukeFest, coming up on January 29th!
The whole day has been carefully crafted to bring people together, and spread joy and happiness around computing. This may be a virtual conference… but it should be the funnest one ever — with audience participation, and chances to hang out with other attendees, throughout the day.
8:30am (Pacific) - The morning begins with a casual Pre-Conference Hang Out. Think of this like milling about with your friends before a show starts.
9:30am - The Keynote. The exact topic of this is a secret until it happens. Oooooh, the suspense!
10:30am - Breakout Session Voting. There are two time-slots for Breakout Sessions during the day. During each time-slot, multiple Breakout Sessions can happen. What are those sessions about? That’s up to all of you! The LundukeFest attendees get to decide what we’ll all be talking about together — and even a chance for the community to present impromptu sessions of their own!
12pm - Turn Your Android Phone Into the Ultimate Retro Computing Battlestation
1pm - Lunch Party! Grab some grub and chat.
2pm - Breakout Sessions
4pm - Linux Sucks 2022
5pm - Breakout Sessions
6pm - Lunduke & Hartley Talk Nerdy. Join Lunduke & famed Tech Journalist, Matt Hartley, as they talk about happy, awesome nerdy things. Bring your questions, because you get to set the topics!
Whether you can make it for the whole 10 1/2 hours of awesome nerdiness, or only part of this glorious day, I think it’s going to be a joyous and nerdy event for everyone!
There are a few, very simple, rules for participating in LundukeFest:
No cursin’ or swearin’. LundukeFest is a family friendly event.
Be Excellent to Each Other.
That’s it! Everyone is welcome at LundukeFest. The goal is to leave happy and excited about computing. Because that’s what it’s all about!

Given that I live at CET, your 3 pm is my midnight, at which point I'll have to bow out and head to bed. But I'm looking forward to joining all that happens before that live, and watching the remaining sessions at a later date! :)
Truth be told, my first FOSS or nerdy or anything conference ever. Except if you count the countless theoretical physics and pure mathematics conferences... WHICH IT DON'T! I'm am SO excited to nerd out with everyone and everyone has only been excellent to each other on Lunduke sites. One suggestion, publish on gopher net because it was my first internet proper AND why the heck not?
