What alternative / retro Operating System could I live in (happily)?

Not modern Windows, macOS, or Linux... but something else...

“Outside of your work machine, what OS do you think you could live in happily for the next year? Could you accomplish your home stuff with DOS, Haiku, RiscOS, or something completely different like an apple ii?
