Play DOOM. Via Twitter. Seriously.
Send commands via Twitter to control the space Marine. Get video results Tweeted back to you. Brilliant.
This is real. And it is amazing.
Utter genius and wonderful human being, Georgi Gerganov, created a Twitter bot that could take instructions (via tweet), and run those instructions in a virtual machine running the Shareware version of DOOM.
Then it will Tweet back a video of the results.
And it really, really works. Check this craziness out:

Even cooler? Tweet2DOOM will let people continue from any point. I could start a game by issuing a set of commands, and Tweet2DOOM would reply with a video of the results. Then you could come along, reply to that video tweet with a new set of commands… and it would pick up from that exact point.
How crazy cool is that?!?!
There’s a handy dandy cheat sheet for the available commands.
How usable is it?
Well, take a peep at this craziness. The fourth level, beat in 1 minute 33 seconds. Via tweets.

Man.
What an amazing week for weird ways to play DOOM!
First we get the ability to play DOOM in a web browser, rendered via checkboxes… now this!?
The future is now.
