Seeing people who are kidnapped by ideology so much that can't be associated with things in their own interest because of ideologically disagreement with leaders or individuals is wild. I reminds you how sane you are. By seeing people who seem to only be able to "agree to disagree" about how strategies on how to violently attack people they view as the enemy and nothing else; it reminds you how sane you really are. I don't have to like you or agree with you to work on the same overall project (say in open source). As for the "big tent" idea framework is fantastic for saying that. Having a big tent means shocker they include even right of center folks if they too have an interest in these technologies and software. Linux is used by at least 35 million human beings and runs on many more desktop computers than that. So linux users are diverse even ideologically. After all libertarians (some of which are open source legends) are themselves in many cases commended by radical leftists. As much as open source has a woke problem it is also true that linux has a very large userbase with many people with different worldviews, religions, etc. So yes for the all the triggered folks out there this means people who are right of center or classical liberals who notice they left got too radical and left them. Lots of worldviews and diversity of ideas and that's totally normal. Agreeing to disagree is a good thing. We should not demonize and wish violence on anyone for their ideas. Loving technology and nerdy stuff should bring people together.
