November is a big, big month for The Lunduke Journal
Got two awesome announcements today — things that have been in the planning stages for many months now.
The Lunduke Journal Live Call-in Show
Coming in November, a brand new show from The Lunduke Journal — a Live Call-in Show!
Ever want to take part in a Lunduke show? To ask questions, give your opinions, take part in quizzes, and joke around with Lunduke? This is your chance.
The show will record (and air) weekly, on Thursdays, with the first show happening on Thursday, November 10th.
That’s a big week for The Lunduke Journal! The very next day, Friday, November 11th, will see the debut episode of The Lunduke Journal Video Interview Series… followed by “macOS Sucks” on Saturday, the 12th! Whew!
Note: Only full subscribers to The Lunduke Journal will have the opportunity to take part in the Live Call-in Show. The public can enjoy the show for free… but only subscribers get to be a part of it.
The Lunduke Journal Discord Server
In order to facilitate the new Call-in Show, we’ve set up a new Discord server!
Many different services were evaluated (including XMPP, Telegram, Mumble, Whereby, and so many others)… but, ultimately, Discord provided the right mixture of features to make running a live, audio, call-in show extremely easy for me. While Discord has some drawbacks, those features just were too handy to pass up.
This also means that The Lunduke Journal now has, on Discord, a 24x7 chat server!
Our Discord server has the following rules (that just so happen to be the rules across all of The Lunduke Journal):
No cursin' and swearin'. (Imagine a cowboy in a 1980's, prime-time TV show. If he wouldn't say it, you shouldn't say it.)
No politics. None at all.
Be excellent to each other.
In order to keep The Lunduke Journal Discord a friendly, happy place… it is only accessible to full subscribers (Standard, Founding Member, or Lifetime) to The Lunduke Journal
