The DOS Subsystem for Linux allows you to run Linux terminal software… inside DOS.
Seriously. DOS. Like… MS-DOS.
Not a joke. Not a prank. This is a real thing.
Check this out:

You can run a Linux command (like ls) by simply doing “dsl ls”.
And you can read and write to the same files via both Linux and DOS.
Absolutely amazing.
Setting it up isn’t a 100% simple process, but it is outlined on the project GitHub page.
Imagine this:
Running Linux (say, Debian)… and running a VM with DOS… then running DOS Subsystem for Linux inside DOS.
Why?
