"Lunduke's Quest" -- a new (nerdy) adventure game for Linux, Mac, Haiku, Amiga, & more.
Quite possibly the nerdiest adventure game ever created.
I am ridiculously excited to announce the upcoming release of a brand new, point and click adventure game:
Lunduke’s Quest
Made in the style of the classic Lucas Arts and Sierra adventure games, “Lunduke’s Quest” is playable on Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, Haiku OS, AmigaOS, and anywhere else that has a modern port of ScummVM.
“Lunduke’s Quest” features:
Gorgeous 320x200 graphics!
A soundtrack than can technically be classified as “a soundtrack”!
An almost insane number of nerdy dad jokes!
References to old computers that most people probably have never even heard of!
An in-game PDA running Linux (seriously)!
Think of “Lunduke’s Quest” like a combination of “Space Quest” and “Monkey Island”… except about computers. Also, there’s a goat.
How to Get “Lunduke’s Quest”
“Lunduke’s Quest” will be released, as a totally free game for all full subscribers of The Lunduke Journal.
The full game will be released during the month of May (currently targeting the second week of May). All full subscribers to The Lunduke Journal will get a full, complimentary copy of the game on release day!
If you’re not already a subscriber to The Lunduke Journal, hop on that. Perks included 10 DRM-free, nerdy books, multiple video games, exclusive articles and podcasts. It is extremely rad.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I buy the game by itself… or is it only available to Lunduke Journal subscribers?
A: “Lunduke’s Quest” may, one day, be sold standalone. For the time being it will only be available to subscribers of The Lunduke Journal. Plus, you get so many goodies when you subscribe, it’s already a pretty mind-blowing deal.
You can subscribe here (on Substack) as well as via Patreon or Locals. Lots of options to make getting a subscription easy (and super inexpensive) for everyone.
Q: What platforms does “Lunduke’s Quest” run on?
A: “Lunduke’s Quest” makes use of the amazing ScummVM to run. As of right now, the game has been tested on Linux, Windows, macOS, Haiku, Android, and AmigaOS. It should also be 100% playable on RiscOS, MorphOS, and a bunch of other platforms. As many as possible will be tested prior to release.
Q: What is the release date?
A: “Lunduke’s Quest” will be released “when it is ready, and not a moment sooner.” Right now it is in the final stages of tweaking and bug fixing, with an estimated release date of the second week of May. So… right around the corner.
Q: So… I can get my name in the credits? That sounds cool!
A: Indeed! It is super cool! Just make sure you become a Founding Member subscriber by April 30th! That way there is enough time to get your name added to the credits before launch day!
Hey, I cannot find more news of this around. Is this out yet ...?
