Facebook can be offline for you, everyday.
One. Simple. Step. Do it. You know you want to. Paradise awaits.
That’s how you can do it on Linux and MacOS X anyway.
It’ll redirect every attempt to go to facebook.com to 127.0.0.1… your local machine. Effectively erasing Facebook from the Internet. At least for you.
On Windows the same file is at:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
If you really want to get comprehensive, add the following to block a bunch of Facebook subdomains as well.
127.0.0.1 facebook.com login.facebook.com secure.facebook.com latest.facebook.com inyour.facebook.com beta.facebook.com static.facebook.com touch.facebook.com developers.facebook.com newsroom.fb.com pixel.facebook.com apps.facebook.com graph.facebook.com m.facebook.com upload.facebook.com
And, remember kids:
