A new "Pokemon"-type game for the Command Line

Available for Linux, Windows, and macOS. All written in Python.

Well this is downright fantastic:

Someone has developed a Pokemon clone… that runs entirely from the command line: Pokete.

What’s more, it’s written entirely in Python (using a custom, terminal-only game engine also written by the game’s author)… which means the game should be playable on Linux, Windows, macOS, or just about anywhere else Python is available.

Overworld, top-view map. Monster battles. This game has it all.

There’s even a “How to Play” manual available to help you get started. Incredibly well done! Love seeing new, in-depth games being developed entirely in text-mode!
